Wedding Flora

Beautiful blossoms never fail to make any event special. You should choose wisely what kind of flowers you will be using on your wedding day especially for those who will walk down the aisle. These are the different types of wedding flowers for the bride, groom and the entourage.

  • Bouquet

Bouquets are flower bunches tied up with ribbons or flower wire. The bouquet is the traditional wedding flower style for the bride and the bridesmaids. Female wedding sponsors could also choose bouquets for its classic feel. Make your bouquets unique by using unique ribbons and glue pearls on the flowers.

  • Nosegay

Nosegays are like bouquets but smaller. They usually have longer handles than those of bouquets. If you want the bride’s bouquet to stand out, the bridal entourage could use nosegays.

  • Pomander

Pomanders are flower balls with ribbon or lace handles. These could be an alternative to flower baskets for the flower girls if the venue does not allow flower throwing in wedding marches. Just make sure that the length of the handle and the size of the flower ball are appropriate for the user’s height.

  • Flower Basket

Flower baskets are traditionally used by flower girls. The flower petals placed inside the basket are usually thrown by flower girls while walking down the aisle. If you want the flower girls to use these, ask first if the event venue allows flower throwing.

  • Corsage

Corsages are flowers glued to ribbon, lace or garter handles that are tied to the wrist. These are simple ways to wear flowers in a wedding. If you want your hands to be free during the ceremony, corsages are the way to go. Just choose flowers that do not cause irritation on hands.

  • Flower Crown

Flower crowns are headpieces made of flowers tied up in a wire to form a circle. It is also an alternative to consider if you want your hands free during the ceremony. You could also incorporate ribbons and a simple veil to make it more elegant.

  • Boutonniere

Boutonnieres are flowers for men that are attached to their suits’ lapels. The flower and tie could be of the same color or not.

  • Flower Hair Embellishments

You could also incorporate flowers in your hairdo. You could braid your hair and put flowers between the braids, tie your hair up in bun and put a flower beside it, or you could make your own way of using flowers as hair embellishments.
